Located on a cherished corner on Harbord Street, Parquet blurs the line between a neighbourhood favourite and a Toronto destination.

Parquet was founded in 2022 by close friends Daniel Bernstein and Matt Cohen, who met 25 years earlier as students at the nearby University of Toronto Law School.

Our name is derived from Parquet de Versailles – the geometric mosaics of wood installed in the grand halls and salons of the royal palace near Paris in the 17th century. The artisanship, warmth, and timeless style associated with this craft inspire the vision for our restaurant.
